Offerings
(Oblations)
Caution: - It is absolutely important that only
cow-ghee must be used for performing Havan or Agnihotra.
Ghee of any other animal excepting the cow is taboo in such
performance not only on socio-religious grounds, but because
of ghee of other animal exudes fumes, which polluted the
atmosphere.
Formmaline is used in operation theatres in hospitals for
sterilizing surgical instruments etc. Agnihotra oblation
of cow-ghee and rice offered in pyramid pot emit this very
chemical on burning, which pervades the air around and renders
the atmosphere bacteria free. Scientific laboratory tests
have proved the Agnihotra releases many atmosphere-purifying
gases like ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, formaldehyde,
betapropiolactone etc.
When
a man inhales the air charged with gases emitted from cow-ghee
and rice oblations in Agnihotra, it exerts a curative and
healthful effect by purifying blood, and strengthening the
heart, the lungs and the brain and thus freeing body and
mind form toxins and tensions.
Remember
that all this comes to you only with just two drops of cow-ghee
and a few grains of unbroken rice (Akshat) burning in the
pyramid pot. Co-ghee must essentially be pure. Such pure
ghee is almost impossible to get in the market. So it is
advisable that the householder performing Agnihotra must
prepare his/her own cow-ghee at home. Pure cow ghee is also
available Madhavashram.
